Jennifer Allen holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas and is a Registered Nurse. She also attended Cleveland Chiropractic College and has taught Anatomy and Physiology at Butler County Community College. Jennifer is currently homeschooling her two sons. She is married to Kevin and enjoys working with her husband in his chiropractic practice. The Allen family attends Central Christian Church.
Joy has been drawn to working with children since her first job at a daycare in high school and has always looked for opportunities to pour into the lives of children. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Friends University in 2002. After graduation she worked in the Wichita public school district through the homebound program until beginning a family in 2005. She will begin her 7th year of homeschooling this Fall. Her home classroom includes 4 boys ages 4, 6, 8 and 10. This year she and her husband Chris are celebrating 15 years of marriage. They are members of Cornerstone Fellowship where he leads worship and she leads the children's ministry.
Roy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (BBA) from Washburn University. During high school and college, Roy played with various bands and in several orchestras on one of the five instruments he plays. After college, he played and toured with Purple Rain for several years. During a successful Commercial Real Estate career he continued to fill in with various Country, Rock, and Christian bands. After retirement he returned to music, teaching lessons in his private studio, to youth in prison, and at the Music Scene in Andover,KS. Roy continues to play Contemporary Christian music with his band "Epiphany".
Felicia has a BS in Art and Math Education from Friends University. Felicia enjoyed starting an art program in the Rose Hill public schools, teaching Pre-K through sixth grade for 10 years before becoming a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom. Felicia and her husband Randy have three daughters, and are members of Central Christian Church.
My name is Juliana Doolittle, but everyone calls me Juli. I am the oldest of 6 children and love kids. I have assisted dance classes for 4 years and have been teaching my own for 3. I am 17 years old and a junior in high school. I am taking college classes and plan to become a speech pathologist. My family and I attend Life Church, and I am on the Andover YMCA swim team.
Jason Fair has 20 years experience working with kids. Jason previously taught Physical Education for Los Angeles Christian school, a Ministry of World Impact. He also taught home school P.E. at Love Box from 2002-2005. Currently, Jason runs a youth sports organization called Midwest Best Sports, which specializes in club basketball and soccer.
Susanne Haynes is a professional musician who studied music at WSU. Over the past 27 years, she has obtained extensive experience accompanying, teaching, directing and producing. She currently accompanies at CCC, various local schools and theater groups and for individual soloists. Susanne believes in always doing one’s best to honor God and to work as if working for Him. Susanne is known as a patient and enthusiastic teacher.
Susanne has been blessed with four treasures from God, her four sons, one of whom is entering Butler with a full music scholarship, sixteen year old twins who she teaches at home, and a nine year old who attends SCA.
June Johnson has been a secondary teacher for over 30 years. She has taught English, drama, mythology and Shakespeare in Christian schools, homeschool, and at Derby High School. Since retirement from Derby, she has stayed busy with reading, writing, gardening, and teaching homeschool students. She taught English with Literature at CHFM for the 2015-2016 school year. June has three children, 17 grandchildren, and a cat named Chloe.
Melissa attended Cair Paravel Latin School, a classical Christian school in Topeka, Kansas from kindergarten to twelfth grade and received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Kansas State University. She taught fourth grade for two years at a classical Christian school in Kansas City, Missouri before moving to Wichita in 2005 with her husband John, to continue his medical education at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He began his medical practice in Newton in 2012. Melissa delights in homeschooling their five children—Isaac, Ailee, James, Levi and Josiah—and enjoys music, reading, and learning new things in her spare time. The McConeghey family attends Heartland Community Church.
Darla is the wife to Jason and the mom of five blessings. These two positions take up most of her time but she also loves teaching science, gardening, cooking, and reading. She also enjoys encouraging families in their homeschool endeavors. She has a Bachelor of General Science from Wichita State with emphases in biology, history and psychology. Their family attends church at Calvary Family.
I have been married to Jeff since 1991 and have been blessed with 4 children, all of whom I homeschooled. I have a BS in Psychology from Kansas State University and a Master’s in Education in Counseling from the University of Dayton. I teach Bible Study, and have worked with Youth and young adults for many years. I also coach cheerleading.
Laura Murfin holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. After graduating from college, Laura joined the Mercy Ships for 2 1/2 years and served on board the M/V Anastasis in Africa and Europe. She is a stay-at-home mom, and homeschools her 6 daughters. She is married to Jim Murfin.
Silvia is a native Spanish speaker who was born in Guatemala and lived in Mexico for 5 years. Silvia has traveled to El Salvador, Peru and Spain. She came to the U.S. in 2000 to work at Salem Evangelical Free Church in Staten Island, New York. Silvia married Greg in 2003 and the family moved to Wichita in 2007. They have two children. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from The Central American Theological Seminary. She has been tutoring/teaching Spanish to individuals and/or groups of all ages in Wichita since 2010.
Deanna has a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and is a homeschooling mother of two. She has made her home in Augusta for the last 7 years. She is excited for the opportunity to serve the families of CHFM by caring for their small children in the nursery and COL programs. God has given her a passion to help encourage, nurture, and share His love to children. She is looking forward to planting many seeds of God’s unfailing Word this coming year!
Formerly a public school teacher, Pam has homeschooled for more than ten years. She has 3 children in grades 3, 5 and 9. She has been blessed to teach classes at the CHFM co-op for the last five years. Homeschooling her own children and teaching others how to be successful followers of Christ and leaders in their communities is a passion of hers.
Jan holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from Kansas State University. She worked as a scientist at Sigma Chemical Company in St. Louis from 1994-1996 isolating and purifying phosphatidylcholine; then as a cancer research scientist at what is now called the Riordan Clinic from 1996-1998 before becoming a stay at home mom and homeschooling her children. Jan is a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, a running enthusiast, and nutrition nut. She is married to Marshall and has three children.
Cynthia Shelden is wife to Stan and mother to five daughters, age 15-23. For the last 20 years she has been blessed to home school her girls, and she has also taught writing to several small co-op classes. Cynthia holds a B.A. in French from Kansas State University, and a Master of Education with a reading specialty from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Since two of her girls are dyslexic, she also pursued training as an academic language therapist. For this first year of teaching at CHFM, her prayer is that she will receive wisdom from the Lord about how best to teach each of her classes. She is holding onto the following verses for this coming school year:

The teaching skills Debbie has acquired are through teaching her own daughter since 1st grade. Together they have learned many subjects but excelled in geography. She makes her home in El Dorado and owns an oilfield business there. This is the first time that she will delve into teaching the other children of CHFM. Her family has been members of CHFM for eight years and enjoys and cherishes the other families involved. Debbie appreciates this opportunity and she is SO looking forward to sharing the wonders of the world with your children.

Susan holds a BS in mathematics from Friends University. Susan has taught all high school level math through advanced placement calculus. She is married to Kevin and is the mother of three children whom she homeschools. The family attends Cornerstone Christian Church.
Tina received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Friends University. She has had the benefit of teaching all ages and grade levels. Most of her career was in the Wichita public school system. In addition to teaching her three sons, Tina has taught water classes at the YMCA for 12 years. Besides teaching, she enjoys swimming, singing and traveling. The Wheeler family attends Metro East Baptist Church.
Kristin Yost received her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Wichita State University in 2003. She is passionate about teaching children and throughout her teaching career has taught a variety of levels from PreK to 5th grade. Her husband, Russ, works with the family business, Yost Auto Service. Russ and Kristin have been married for 13 years and have four children- Addison, Graham, Eleanor, and Silas. Kristin and the kids will begin their fifth year of homeschooling this fall.
