SHARED DREAMS
Before Deb and Rachel met, each had a dream. Their dream was for a Christ-centered homeschool co-op that would provide weekly classes for homeschool students, opening doors for educational opportunities that might otherwise be unmet. They also desired to provide an avenue for moms to get acquainted with other moms of like minds; someone who would understand the day-to-day work and frustrations involved in the decision to homeschool.
As Deb began to research the possibility of working with Central Christian Church as a place to develop such a co-op, the Lord made it possible for Rachel and Deb to become acquainted. As we considered the ramifications of developing this project, we realized how much our individual dreams paralleled. We were also in awe of how the Lord has and continues to work out the details of this undertaking.
It is our sincere desire that class time be "an oasis" in your busy week. A time when you and your children can see old friends and meet new friends, where children can experience what it is like to learn in a larger group setting, and develop some life long memories and friendships.
We know that Central Homeschool Family Ministries is possible only because the Lord allowed it and has blessed our efforts. We would like to give Him all the praise and honor for bringing this dream to fruition. We would also like to thank you as faithful members of CHFM. Without your participation, support, encouragement and help in many areas, CHFM would not be what it is today. We covet your prayers as the Lord continues to develop and fine-tune His program.
MISSION STATEMENT & GOALS
Central Homeschool Family Ministries was created to provide quality, Christian-based, affordable cooperative classes and resources to homeschool students and their families.
Goals for High School Classes
To provide academically challenging opportunities for teens- offering classes that will meet requirements for high school credit. It is each homeschool family’s responsibility to determine whether each offering will meet requirements for their individual programs. Grades will be issued but credit certificates are not given.
Goals for Elementary Classes
To provide opportunities for students to participate in enrichment classes. Classes will encourage and foster friendships and promote teamwork.
